My name is Gregory Piszczek. I have been working in IT industry for close to 10 years. I have experience in a full range of aspects that deal with computers, networks and everything in between.
Most of my experience is providing technical support to end users, but I also have experience in supporting clients in small and medium companies. Technical support involves troubleshooting and installation of hardware and software. Troubleshooting and installation of printers, scanners and web cams was also part of my daily job. A big part of troubleshooting users’ workstations was removing viruses and spyware. I performed this by running online scans on the computers. Part of my job was also to build new computers from supplied components. I also installed software on those computers depending on customer order ranging from Microsoft Office Suite to burning software. Some customers required industry specific software like Lytec to be installed.
Through my previous jobs, I learned how to install, configure and troubleshoot computer networks. This involved setting up routers, switches and VPNs. I dealt with devices manufactured by Linksys, D-Link, Netgear and many others. Those jobs entailed installation of CAT 5e and CAT 6 wiring for such networks. Many projects demanded setup of servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 confugured as Domain Controllers. One part of my experience is configuration and troubleshooting of VOIP phone adapters produced by Motorola and Linksys. I am also familiar with installation of security systems. This involved wiring, installation of cameras and monitors. Video recording was done by either custom built PC or DVR system.
I am also a authorized reseller of Carbonite online backup.
This web site lists only small amount of what I can do. My Experience page provides an easier list of my qualifications.
